The school administration required a durable, permanent outdoor display capable of enhancing campus communication while withstanding Korea’s distinct seasonal climate, including hot, humid summers and cold, dry winters.

Key challenges included:

Design a daylight-readable, weatherproof display (rain, dust, temperature swings) with an elongated 0.96m-tall, ~9m-wide screen that maintains structural and visual consistency. Support flexible content management for daily schedules, event reminders, and emergency alerts. Enable easy maintenance without disrupting campus entry/exit traffic, and comply with local safety and electrical standards for permanent outdoor educational installations.

Robust, Weatherproof Iron Cabinet Construction

The display utilizes high-strength iron cabinets with a full IP65 protection rating, making it fully dust-tight and resistant to powerful water jets from any direction. This ensures reliable, round-the-clock performance through rain, humidity, and seasonal temperature extremes common in Korea. The rigid iron structure provides excellent stability and vibration resistance, critical for a location exposed to daily pedestrian and vehicle traffic. We utilized standard 960×960mm cabinets, arranged in a 10-column by 1-row configuration (9.6m × 0.96m), precisely tailored to the 8.96m × 0.96m architectural space above the school entrance.
